Ira B. Jones Elementary is proud to present our 24th musical production, Willy Wonka Jr., based on the book Charlie and The Chocolate Factory by Roald Dhal. We are very honored to have our show directed by Heather Gallagher of the Asheville Performing Arts Academy, with music direction by our very own, Jenni Park.
Registration for Tech Crew (4th- 5th Grade) will close on Friday, December 18 at noon. Space is extremely limited for tech crew!
Rehearsals for Tech Crew will be held on Thursdays from 2:35-4 PM, beginning January 7. This small group will meet weekly with Rachel Gordon, a professional set and props designer with APAA. Students will have the opportunity to paint and create stage props from a variety of materials. They will also be responsible for working backstage, moving set pieces, throughout the performances.
Performances are scheduled for Thu - Sat, March 4-6. It is important that all cast members be available for our performance dates. More details regarding our schedule and performances will be shared once registration is closed.
